Here’s the official trailer for Nosferatu:
With Bill Skarsgård playing Count Orlok, it’s sure to be an adaptation to remember. The character was previously portrayed by Max Schreck and Klaus Kinski, with Willem Dafoe having played a fictionalized version of Schreck in Shadow of the Vampire.
Robert Eggers both wrote and directed the film which is actually the second remake of the original 1922 classic. F. W. Murnau directed that original installment written by Henrik Galeen which was actually an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
At that time, Dracula wasn’t quite in the public domain, and all copies of the classic Nosferatu were nearly destroyed. Fortunately, the film endured, and now fans will get to see a brand-new iteration of the iconic tale.
The new adaptation is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on Nosferatu starring Bill Skarsgård as we have them.
