The Saw horror movie franchise began life as the 2004 horror film Saw. The low-budget production had an unexpectedly strong performance at the box office, earning $103.9 million on a reported budget of $1-$1.2 million. A series of sequels soon followed, being released each consecutive year from 2005 to 2010. Now the complete original seven-film Saw saga is available on Disney Plus.
The original seven films follow a linear narrative with the addition of numerous flashbacks to tell the franchise’s story. Tobin Bell delivers an incredible performance as John Kramer, a complex villain that receives more screen time as the films continue. Of course, fans are also familiar with the franchise’s biggest trademarks – elaborate traps and gory death scenes that were further emphasized in each subsequent release.
As such, it may be a surprise to find the Saw franchise on the Disney Plus streaming service. Of course, as Disney continues to integrate its app with Hulu, the library of content available on either app only continues to grow. For fans that have Disney Plus w/ Hulu, they’ll have the opportunity to watch these seven Saw films in beautiful high-definition.

Interestingly, the streaming service doesn’t have the Saw entries released beyond Saw 3D: The Final Chapter. After the seventh film, the franchise struggled to find its footing, and the mixed-to-negatively reviewed films Jigsaw and Spiral: From the Book of Saw were released. The mostly stand-alone entries were followed by Saw X, a much more successful venture that takes place between the events of the original Saw and Saw II.
As such, fans will have to settle for watching only the original seven movies when using Disney Plus for their Saw marathons. On the bright side, Saw XI is currently in the works for a 2025 release date. So there is still plenty of Saw content to look forward to.
