Actor Wesley Snipes portrayed the titular character in Blade, Blade II, and Blade: Trinity, all of which helped make Marvel the popular brand that it is today. Now Wesley Snipes has responded to a rumor that he could be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine – which would officially bring his character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon.
Interestingly, there has already been a Blade movie in the works for quite some time. The upcoming Marvel Studios production is set to introduce actor Mahershala Ali as the titular vampire hunter. It seems as though with the Multiverse becoming a major plot device, however, that more than one Blade could appear in the MCU.
Obviously such speculation should be taken with a grain of salt. Though Snipes certainly added fuel to the fire, as you can see below. We previously covered the rumor that Wesley Snipes could appear as his character Blade in the upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine. And while it’s still unconfirmed, Snipes acknowledged the rumor on X.
He didn’t confirm or deny the rumor, however, but merely added the following response with a suspicious emoji:
“Whuhuuuut? 👀”

The upcoming Deadpool movie is set to feature Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The two characters are expected to travel from Fox’s former X-Men universe and into the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe. Along the way, however, are plenty of cameos that are seemingly being kept under wraps.
With Snipes’ response to the rumor that he could appear, however, many feel that he might’ve just revealed his own cameo. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if that holds true once the film hits theaters. In the meantime, it certainly adds to the hype of the film and the speculation for what we can expect.
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the highly-anticipated MCU sequel and the potential return of Wesley Snipes as Blade as we have them.
