The hit HBO and Max television series The Last of Us did a wonderful job at giving life to the original classic video game. It faithfully adapted its story for the television medium, and now it looks like The Last of Us Season 2 will do the same by adapting elements from The Last of Us Part II.
As you can see below, our first look at the new season has been revealed. Fans can see the return of actor Pedro Pascal as Joel and actress Bella Ramsey as Ellie. The two characters led us through the first season which took place in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by fungus-infected zombies.
In addition to Pascal and Ramsey, the new series will also star Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, and Danny Ramirez. Catherine O’Hara will also be appearing in the new season as a guest star.

Of course, the images don’t reveal much. However, they do tease some tense situations for our beloved characters, and we’ll have to tune into the next season to see what happens next.
The Last of Us showrunners and executive producers Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are returning for the show’s second season. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and other executive producers include Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells.

Fans are no doubt bound to enjoy this season as much as the first, so hopefully we’ll have more details soon. For now, these first look images for the next chapter should hopefully hold fans over.
