At this point, there have been dozens of adaptations of Stephen King‘s iconic library of work. Though many of these adaptations have remained classics in the eyes of pop culture, some works have seemingly become obscure over the years. Now one such forgotten Stephen King movie is now streaming for free – granting an opportunity for many fans to watch it for the first time.
This particular psychological thriller was released a decade ago in 2014. In the ten years since its release, many fans have let the film go unnoticed. This wasn’t helped by the fact that its initial release was relegated to video-on-demand and a mere limited theatrical release. Nevertheless, it’s now much easier to see given its place on multiple free streaming services.
Peter Askin directed the picture which is based on a novella of the same name from Stephen King’s 2010 collection Full Dark, No Stars. Its cast includes Joan Allen, Anthony LaPaglia, Kristen Connolly, and Stephen Lang. Perhaps most noticeable, however, is that the film’s actual screenplay was written by Stephen King based on his own story.
The film is none other than A Good Marriage. It’s an interesting little thriller that features the following synopsis:
“With her husband of 20 years away on a business trip, Darcy goes into the garage where she discovers that her partner is definitely not who she thought he was; her find gives her no option but to end what was, from the outside, the perfect marriage.”
As mentioned, fans can now check out the film for themselves for free and see whether or not it’s worth a reevaluation. The platforms currently streaming the Stephen King film for free include Tubi, Pluto, Plex, and various other.
