Ralph Ineson has been cast as the iconic character, according to THR. For those unfamiliar, the iconic comic book character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He was previously portrayed in live-action with the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. However, this film was far away from the MCU, and at the time they chose to depict Galactus as a CGI cloud.
As such, Ineson’s portrayal should hopefully be much more comic accurate.
In addition to Ineson as Galactus, the film also features Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.
Matt Shakman is set to direct The Fantastic Four from a screenplay written by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Additionally, Peter Cameron has been involved with the film’s script.
The Fantastic Four is currently scheduled to hit theaters next year on July 25, 2024.
