Taylor Swift has become a popular subject for headlines. This time, however, the focus has been placed on her father, Scott Swift. It looks like Taylor Swift‘s dad is facing assault accusations for allegedly punching a photographer in Australia.
As shared via news.com.au, it appears that Scott Swift is being accused of having allegedly assaulted paparazzi photographer Ben McDonald. Now police are investigation the situation in which the assault is said to have happened “at Sydney’s ferry wharves early on Tuesday morning.”
The publication claims that McDonald left the alleged attack with “a sore chop and a bruised ego.” This is alleged to have occurred during Taylor’s recent outing on Sydney Harbour.
A NSW Police spokesman shared the following statement:
“Police have been told a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2.30am before leaving the location,” the spokesman shared.
McDonald shared the following description of the alleged incident:
“As she got closer, the security shoved his umbrella in my face and camera, then as she got in the car her dad decides to charge me and punch me in the chops.”
McDonald claims he didn’t recognize the man as Taylor’s dad, but that he realized it upon looking at his photos of Taylor Swift:
“I didn’t realise it was her dad to start with,” he explained. “I looked back at the pictures and saw he was holding hands with Taylor – it then became evident that was her father.”
McDonald is said to have not required any medical treatment after the incident, as confirmed by police. As for Taylor Swift, she was in the area as part of her Eras Tour, where she was also partying on her superyacht named Quantum.
