Marvel Studios has been hard at work with preparing a new take on The Fantastic Four. The new film, unlike previous adaptations, is set to take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, excitingly, Marvel Studios has officially revealed the cast of The Fantastic Four.
There have been many rumors and reports over the years regarding which celebrities could acquire the roles. After all, Marvel is no doubt eager to make this adaptation a success with fans, and one that could guarantee future appearances from “Marvel’s First Family.”
Now, as shared below, they certainly picked a rather high-profile cast after all. Fans will no doubt be surprised to see which celebrities actually made the cut. It’s clear that this adaptation is finally getting off the ground and we’ll have The Fantastic Four hitting theaters sooner rather than later.
It’s worth noting that Marvel Studios made the following announcement for Valentine’s Day. As such, there’s a nice holiday-themed twist to the below image, which features different depictions of the newly-announced cast members as their characters.
“Happy Valentine’s Day from Marvel’s First Family,” the image’s caption begins. “Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are The Fantastic Four,” it further reveals before confirming the film’s 2025 release date. It’s certainly clever timing with Valentine’s Day upon us. It’s also worth noting that releasing this after the immensely popular Deadpool & Wolverine trailer shows that Marvel Studios certainly has their fair share of cards up their sleeve. Hopefully we’ll see more soon.
Matt Shakman is set to direct The Fantastic Four from a screenplay written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer with Josh Friedman also involved with a draft of the script.
