    Steamy Margot Robbie Movie Finds New Life On Netflix

    Margot Robbie has become a household name in recent years for her roles that include Harley Quinn and Barbie. Now, however, a lesser-known Margot Robbie thriller movie is finding new life on Netflix.

    It’s a steamy, edgy film that reinterprets an iconic story. As such, it can be quite interesting to see the film’s cast, especially considering it was never very successful upon release.

    In addition to Margot Robbie, the film now streaming on Netflix also stars Alexander Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, Jim Broadbent, and Christoph Waltz. So, knowing that the film offers such an impressive cast all around, it’s certainly no surprise to see it trending on streaming.

    It was also directed by David Yates, who film fans might be familiar with for having directed the final four films in the Harry Potter series and all three Fantastic Beasts spin-offs. His signature style is certainly on full display in this feature which offers the same moody atmosphere and dark visuals.

    The film, also written by Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer, managed to gross $356.7 million at the worldwide box office. However, this is based on a budget of about $180 million. While that seems like a lot, the film is estimated to have needed at least $400 million at the box office just to break even. So, despite the large numbers, it’s technically still considered a flop.

    On that note, it’s interesting to see that it’s found something of an audience several years later on Netflix. Of course, that’s also likely due to Margot Robbie herself, especially with her recent success in the box office smash that is Barbie.
