The horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey sparked several trends in the film industry. For one thing, it prompted the immediate greenlight for a sequel. For another, it seems to have become the start of a new shared universe of horror films based on public domain stories. Now one such story will be Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare.
Peter Pan is just one of numerous fairy tale characters finding themselves reinterpreted for the horror genre following the success of Blood and Honey. Additionally, there will be the films Bambi: The Reckoning and Pinocchio: Unstrung among others.
Now, as shared below, a brand-new image has been revealed which teases the upcoming horror film Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare. It’s an interesting glimpse at what’s to come, especially with the release of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 just around the corner.

The film is set to be directed by Scott Jeffrey. Here’s what Jeffrey shared via Bloody-Disgusting about the production of Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare and what can be expected from the upcoming film:
“I am taking inspiration from French cinema while in prep for this movie. The film will be incredibly tense following Wendy as she tries to track down her brother, Michael, who has been abducted by Peter Pan. I would say it’s a mesh between Switchblade Romance and The Black Phone with our own spin on it. It is a nasty, violent and incredibly dark movie.”
He also shared the following regarding Tinkerbell:
“Tinkerbell is not what you think. In our version she is hooked on heroin and convinced it’s Pixie Dust.”
The cast of the film includes Megan Placito as Wendy Darling, Kit Green as Tinkerbell, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Michael Darling, and Charity Kase as James.
Production for the film is set to begin in May this year. The film will then be released theatrically for Halloween 2024.
