Fans of the 1989 film Road House have been eager to see what Amazon Prime has in store for their remake. After all, the highly-anticipated revival has none other than Jake Gyllenhaal taking the lead. Now, as you can see below, Gyllenhaal clearly gives a terrific performance as the first Road House trailer reveals.
With more than one million views at the time of this writing, fans are already in love with this new iteration of the classic Road House story. For those unaware, the film revolves around Jake Gyllenhaal‘s character Dalton, a former UFC fighter.
The plot continues as he “takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.”
It’s an interesting premise and one that obviously calls to mind the fan-favorite original film. Of course, with new elements including Gyllenhaal’s unique performance, it’s clear that this film will satisfy fans both old and new.

As mentioned, the trailer does promise an exciting new take on the classic story. After so many years waiting for the remake to come around, it looks like it’ll definitely live up to the expectations that fans have.
Of course, we’ll still have to wait a few months before the film is available to stream. On that note, there are plenty of fans that feel as though the film would be perfect enough for a theatrical release.
Doug Liman directed the film inspired by the 1989 classic. The screenplay for the film was penned by Anthony Bagarozzi and Chuck Mondry.
In addition to Gyllenhaal, the cast of the film includes Daniela Melchior, Conor McGregor, and Billy Magnussen. Joel Silver will return to produce the film having previously produced the original.
