Disney Plus has become the ultimate platform for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. The popular streaming service, being owned by Disney, essentially offers nearly every Marvel adaptation that fans could hope for. Now fans can know when to expect a Marvel sequel to be available to stream on Disney Plus.
The platform already offers just about every Marvel Cinematic Universe project. In fact, they’ve pieced together the franchise’s various film and television offerings to create a unified timeline of events. This allows fans to trace the franchise’s entire history in a chronological format.
Of course, that also means fans are eager for the latest MCU entry to be added to the list. Fortunately, we now know when that project will be added. The film is a sequel to both Captain Marvel and the Disney Plus series Ms. Marvel.
The Marvels played an important role in expanding the worlds and leads of both of the aforementioned projects, in addition to putting Teyonah Parris’s Monica Rambeau in a larger role than before. Now this integral part of the MCU’s future will soon be available to stream on Disney Plus as revealed in a new trailer.
Here’s the trailer below which reveals the new Disney Plus release date for the Marvel sequel:
The film will now be released via Disney Plus on February 7. It’s possible that fans will be checking out The Marvels for the first time on Disney Plus after skipping its theatrical run.
The film only made $206 million worldwide at the box office, while its budget was around $278 million, making the superhero film a massive flop. But Disney Plus could still lend the film an opportunity to reach an audience, even if it did lose money for the studio.
