    A24 has become an increasingly successful brand in just the last few years. Now that the streaming service Max has acquired access to the entertainment company’s library, however, A24 fans are revisiting an early psychological horror thriller from the label.

    The independent entertainment company has helped contribute a number of healthy offerings to the horror and thriller space in addition to other popular genres. Of course, fans will associate their name with hits like The Witch, Midsommar, and the sci-fi spectacle Everything Everywhere All at Once.

    This particular film that’s made a hit on Max, however, is a less popular title. But it’s one that has certainly built an audience over time. In fact, there are quite a few viewers of the film on Max that have taken to social media to express their enjoyment of the film.

    Titled It Comes at Night, the film is a 2017 psychological thriller from director Trey Edward Shults. The cast of the film includes Joel Edgerton, Christopher Abbott, Carmen Ejogo, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Riley Keough. It’s something of a post-apocalyptic film with a very psychological perspective on the matter.

Though it was always positively received by critics upon its initial release in 2017, the general public was less favorable towards the film.
