The Marvel Cinematic Universe is comprised of superheroes and storylines from Marvel’s decades of beloved comic books. However, the MCU just revealed a new hero and the actor that will be portraying them.
This is a special moment for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as this particular character is a completely original addition. They don’t come from the franchise’s comic book lore, but rather they’re a unique creation for the Disney Plus series What If…?.
The character, named Kahhori, is a Native American warrior that will be introduced in the show’s second season. Now, as shared via the Marvel Studios Canada Instagram page, we know the actor that will be portraying this MCU hero.
As revealed in the image below, it looks like none other than Devery Jacobs will be playing the part of Kahhori:

For those unfamiliar, both Jacobs and the character they portray are Mohawk. This means that Jacobs will accurately represent the Mohawk people with her portrayal of the character. Fans may recognize Jacobs for her roles in both Reservation Dogs and Rhymes for Young Girls, and she’s also set to appear in the Disney Plus series Echo as an unrelated character named Julie.
It’ll be exciting to see if this MCU hero will appear elsewhere. For now, however, fans are ecstatic to see Kahhori make her debut in What If…? Season 2, and hopefully it won’t be her last appearance.
There are plenty of superheroes and supervillains that have gone on to become mainstay characters in comic books following original debuts in film and television. It’s very possible that Kahhori could become on such character. On that note, with Jacobs being involved with two MCU properties, it’s also possible we will be seeing her again as well sooner or later.
