Marvel Studios and Sony are moving forward with a new Spider-Man film following the success of the MCU titles Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Of course, the film is still in its early stages, but new rumors suggest a surprising villain and cameos for Spider-Man 4.
Though the first of these films focused on Vulture, Far From Home brought us Mysterio, and No Way Home fully explored the potential of the Multiverse. Fans were quite delighted with that latest entry, especially given the return of both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
According to insider @AlexFromCC, however, the Multiverse won’t actually be the focus of the fourth film. While some fans may have suspected as much, it’s certainly been a major plot point for Marvel’s latest phases, so some still hoped there would be more to explore from the other continuities. On that note, there does seem to be some major crossover elements coming into play if these rumors turn out to be true.
As always, fans should take the following rumor with a grain of salt. But according to the user, both Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil are going to appear in the film. Kingpin would obviously be the villain of Spider-Man 4, while Daredevil would have to team up with Spider-Man to take him down.
This isn’t exactly without reason. In fact, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil was previously teased with a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It would be perfect, then, to further unite the two characters. Especially given their shared setting of New York City.
Here’s the tweet:
Kingpin, as the Mayor of NYC, puts into effect a law that outlaws “vigilantism”, targeting heroes like Spider-Man & Daredevil (among others) and establishes a bounty hunt for these heroes where several villains pop in for their shot at taking down Spidey & DD?

Again, this should be taken with a grain of salt. Especially given how early this film is in its development. But there are plenty of reasons that support the possibility, especially given that we technically have seen Daredevil and Spider-Man together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe already. Hopefully we’ll have a better idea once Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney Plus.
