One genre that almost always guarantees a sequel has been the horror genre. After all, horror movies are often cheap to make and thus highly profitable. It’s the reason franchises like Halloween and Friday the 13th were able to produce so many installments. Now Netflix subscribers are demanding the streaming service to develop a sequel to what’s currently the streaming giant’s number one horror movie.
Of course, viewers are often enthusiastic about such things. And while Netflix often cancels fan-favorite television shows or leaves viewers hanging, they do listen to online hype. As such, viewers are definitely making the right decision by letting their voice be heard on social media.
It’s always great to see that an international film such as this has surpassed the odds and made it to the top of Netflix. After all, it’s a competitive market, and one in which some movies are likely to be buried. All the more reason why a sequel would be greatly appreciated by its fans.
As shared via FlixPatrol, the newly-released horror movie Dampyr, an international horror fantasy from Italy, has quickly topped Netflix’s charts. It seems as though the film has absolutely struck a chord with subscribers. Now, as you can see below, X has already blown up with viewers asking for more.
Here are the tweets in which viewers of the horror film Dampyr have asked Netflix for a sequel or otherwise praised the film:
Right quick, I need everyone to go watch Dampyr on Netflix so there can be a sequel. Apparently it’s based on a comic book series pic.twitter.com/UQmBr6dWAi

I watched every second of Dampyr and as I’m wrapping up to what I think is the end, it hit me that I have no fucking clue what’s going on. #dampyr

Other countries can manage to create better movies than American studios. For example Dampyr was made with a $15 million budget and it’s based off an Italian comic book. The movie has more imagination than marvel movies from the last few years.

Riccardo Chemello directed the vampire movie. The screenplay was written by Mauro Boselli, Giovanni Masi, Alberto Ostini, and Mauro Uzzeo. It’s also based on the Italian comic book series of the same name by Mauro Boselli.
The cast includes Wade Briggs, Stuart Martin, Frida Gustavsson, Sebastian Croft, Luke Roberts, David Morrissey, and Radu Andrei Micu.
