Madame Web is set to tackle a whole new corner of the Spider-Man universe. This includes introducing a number of beloved Marvel characters into live-action for the first time, including Sydney Sweeney as Spider-Woman.
Of course, there are several characters known throughout the comics as Spider-Woman. Madame Web is set to include a number of them. Sydney Sweeney, however, is set to portray none other than Julia Carpenter. And yes, that means she’ll be wearing the black and white Spider-Woman suit in the movie.
Fans seem to be eager to see Sydney Sweeney and her performance as Spider-Woman on the big screen – and now, we have our first look at the actress as the Marvel character:

Madame Web is an intriguing concept for a comic book movie – because while we’ve seen several iterations of Spider-Man in live-action over the last few decades, there has been very little representation for the other Spider-People outside of the animated Spider-Verse films.
It will be interesting to see how the movie performs for Sony, with the cast of characters being introduced in Madame Web. Especially given the possibilities of giving us live-action iterations of characters like Julia Carpenter aka Spider-Woman.
S. J. Clarkson directed the superhero movie which was penned by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The ensemble cast of Madame Web includes the likes of Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, and Tahar Rahim.
Fans will be able to see the next installment in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, Madame Web, when it hits theaters on February 16, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on the film as we have them.
