The Spider-Man movie franchise has evolved in some interesting ways over the years. What started out as Sam Raimi’s simple live-action trilogy has turned into a surprising web (pun intended) of different continuities and interpretations. This has now paved the way for Madame Web as you can see in the trailer below.
The film is a live-action Spider-Man spin-off that will act as the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. This shared universe currently consists of Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, and now Madame Web. Of course, we also know that the continuity also exists concurrent to other Marvel continuities, namely the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Now, as the trailer below suggests, Madame Web will once again play around with these concepts and the possibilities given via alternate universes and timelines. Though there are no doubt other surprises being kept secret until the full release of the film.
As for now, here’s the first official trailer for Madame Web:
Hopefully we’ll have more details regarding the highly-anticipated film in the near future. Additionally, fans can also look forward to Kraven the Hunter, which is also expected to take place in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. S. J. Clarkson directed the highly-anticipated superhero film which was penned by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama.
The ensemble cast of Madame Web includes Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, and Tahar Rahim.
