When it comes to horror franchises, few have gotten through to audiences quite like Insidious. From its beginning with the first movie over a decade ago, the films have continued to grab viewers. The latest film, Insidious: The Red Door, directed by franchise actor Patrick Wilson, has taken the horror community by storm, as it has already become the number one horror movie streaming on Netflix.
One of the biggest factors that contributed to the success of Insidious: The Red Door is the return of the original cast. That type of continuity almost certainly helps movies as fans of the franchise will be delighted to see familiar faces reprising their roles. The Lambert clan, years after their previous supernatural encounters, must once again confront the horrors that plagued their lives. This reunion of the original cast adds depth to the story, making it a must-watch for fans of the original franchise. It’s also hard to deny the nostalgia factor that comes into play.
Since hitting Netflix, Insidious: The Red Door has received a significant amount of attention from horror fans. Social media has been buzzing with reactions from viewers, which have been both negative and positive. Let’s take a look at what some of them had to say:

I will have to say, there are only three horror films that have jumps cares that actually affected me. Two of them are Insidious; the first one and The Red Door. I don’t jump often but dang those are good jump scares.
