Zack Snyder fans aren’t afraid to approach anyone. This is clearly the case as now Netflix is receiving backlash for an announcement the streamer made regarding their upcoming premiere of numerous DC movies – including Justice League.
This was revealed by Netflix themselves on the social media platform X. As you can see below, they announced titles including Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman: 1984, The Suicide Squad, and of course Justice League for the service. These will be available to stream on December 1.
The issue with Zack Snyder fans, however, is that Justice League will actually be the theatrical version directed by Joss Whedon. Fans are obviously desperate for Netflix to release Zack Snyder’s better received Justice League cut instead.
Here are some of the tweets shared by those fans that became upset when Netflix announced they’d only be releasing Joss Whedon’s theatrical cut of the film:
Nice try, but that’s the wrong Justice League! pic.twitter.com/f6LeXp6hTW

It’s certainly clear which versions of these blockbuster movies are preferred by fans. It’s especially interesting when considering that Netflix has such a close relationship with Zack Snyder. They’re not only working together on Rebel Moon, which is set to launch its own cinematic universe, but also the zombie film Army of the Dead.
To this end, many fans have actually wanted Netflix to become the home of Zack Snyder’s “SnyderVerse” from the DCEU. This would include a follow-up to his cut of Justice League as he’d originally planned. But as Warner Bros continues to disregard Snyder’s works, and further replace the most recent DC franchise with the DCU, this doesn’t seem likely.
If nothing else, though, fans will at least be able to experience Zack Snyder’s Justice League elsewhere – and that’s definitely something. Especially when it seemed like he would never have the opportunity to tell his own version of the story.
