The Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster Captain Marvel and its Disney Plus series counterpart, Ms. Marvel, are set to collide narratively with the upcoming film The Marvels. Now the final trailer for The Marvels has been released as you can see down below.
Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris all reprise their respective roles as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau for the new installment. Additionally, actor Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury following his most recent appearance in the Disney Plus series Secret Invasion.
In fact, speaking of recognizable characters, fans might recognize quite a few faces during the opening of the below video. Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark aka Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America are two of the classic Avengers members that can be pictured in stock footage from their previous appearances. Likewise, the footage also includes a reference to Josh Brolin’s Thanos.
Here’s the final trailer for The Marvels:
One thing is for certain about the upcoming film. It’s clear that The Marvels will play a large part in pushing the Marvel Cinematic Universe forward while also tying into its past. Of course, fans will have to see the full film to get an idea for how it will all come together.
It’ll also be interesting to see how the film performs not just with audiences, but at the box office – as it currently has the lowest pre-sales for the MCU franchise to date. But who knows what can happen if the film succeeds with initial viewers and catches on via word of mouth.
The Marvels was directed by Candyman director Nia DaCosta from a script written by Megan McDonnell.
Fans will finally be able to see the follow-up to Captain Marvel and the Disney Plus series Ms. Marvel when it hits theaters on November 10, 2023.
