As you can see below, @SnowWhiteNews shared a report via @TheDisInsider regarding the Snow White film’s high scores. In addition to praise for Rachel Zegler, who’s said to have “reportedly BLEW audiences away,” Gal Gadot and Andrew Burnap are also said to have received high praise at the early screenings.

Of course, Rachel Zegler has been at the center of the film’s backlash since she was first attached. Zegler made numerous comments regarding the original animated film and its titular character, and how the themes and values of the original film are outdated. As such, she’s happy to see these tropes updated or removed altogether for the new live-action film, which made many fans of the original quite upset.
Now fans looking forward to the live-action remake are happy about the alleged test screenings. Here are some of their comments shared below:
but everyone was convinced one poorly worded interview meant she was the worst thing to happen to snow white since her bitchass step mother https://t.co/YzdbmB7NhT

Can’t wait till this movie comes out and everyone switches to praising Rachel Zegler after they bullied her, she really is THAT GIRL https://t.co/7IiRQdWjsE

Naturally, this also meant that there were those who were unsatisfied with the report. In fact, they believe that the positive reviews could have been paid for. As such, some of their comments have been shared below, which only add to the existing controversy:
Were the viewers paid off? Rachel zegler is trash and her movie will fail. No one wants a woke version of snow white when we have the classic version https://t.co/7ORZGdnsyu

So what? Still not interested in going to see this movie. No amount of “good acting “ makes me want to care about this after what she’s said. Besides, I don’t really go see live action Disney remakes. https://t.co/9XpkXBkodQ

It’s worth noting that this is far from Disney’s only project which has received controversy in recent years. Especially for a live-action remake. There have been similar controversial comments made about their projects including The Little Mermaid, though Disney has continued to release their films. As such, fans should expect to see the Snow White adaptation released all the same, and we’ll have to see if it lives up to these positive responses or not.
