Danny Masterson’s That ’70s Show co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have been facing backlash on X after showing support for Masterson prior to his rape sentencing. As part of the backlash, an inappropriate comment made by Ashton Kutcher regarding 15-year-old Hilary Duff has resurfaced online.
At the time of the comment, which was made in 2003, Hilary Duff was only 15-years-old. The comment was made by Kutcher while he appeared on the MTV series Punk’d. As you can see below, he emphasizes how he’s eager for not only Duff – but also the Olsen twins – to turn 18.
Here’s the comment Ashton Kutcher made regarding Hilary Duff:
“Hilary Duff is in Lizzie McGuire, she also has an album out. She’s going to be in a movie called Cheaper by the Dozen – and she’s one of the girls that we’re all waiting for to turn 18. Along with the Olsen twins.”
Ashton Kutcher and his wife, Mila Kunis, have already attempted to release an apology for having supported Masterson. Despite their apology, however, the backlash has only continued. In fact, some social media users believe their apology feels inauthentic and insulting.
Other past comments made by the celebrities have also been brought to light, especially as Mila Kunis was underage at the time she appeared on That 70’s Show. She began working on the show at 14-years-old, after lying about her age, while Kutcher was 19-years-old. This was a topic in the below interview featuring the two cast members:
