The newest iteration of the Winnie-the-Pooh brand, known as the horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, is a public domain take on the characters. Blood and Honey reimagines the titular bear and his friend Piglet as grotesque slasher villains. Now, the first look at Tigger has been revealed in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2.
The upcoming sequel will have a much larger budget as its predecessor. And, in addition to that, other characters from Winnie-the-Pooh are entering the public domain. As shared via IGN, this gives the filmmakers even more characters to utilize as they tell their horror story.
Producer Scott Jeffrey shared the following about Tigger being included:
“Tigger is incredibly violent. He loves to torture his victims before killing them,” he revealed.

In addition to Tigger, the film will include Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Christopher Robin. As mentioned, Tigger was absent due to the character still being held under copyright, but that will no longer be a problem with the sequel being released in 2024. Hopefully we’ll have more details about the highly-anticipated sequel soon and what we can expect from this next horror outing featuring such iconic characters.
Rhys Frake-Waterfield is directing the film from a screenplay penned by Matt Leslie. Leslie penned the script from a story he co-wrote with Frake-Waterfield.
The cast of the film includes Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin, Ryan Olivia as Winnie-the-Poof, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Young Winnie-the-Pooh, and Simon Callow as Cavendish.
