Audiences have been talking about Barbie ever since the movie hit theaters. Now a new theory about Barbie has surfaced on TikTok and fans are sharing it like wildfire.
Of course, that does mean there are spoilers ahead. Now then, the theory attempts to explain why Margot Robbie‘s Barbie doesn’t like Ryan Gosling’s Ken. And it’s quite an interesting take on why it actually makes perfect sense.
Most viewers initially assumed that Barbie didn’t have much of an attraction to Ken because they’re dolls and lack sexual feelings. But the theory offers a different explanation that might make a little more sense. It revolves around Gloria and how she says she never had a Ken doll growing up.
If Gloria never had a Ken doll, it’s because she didn’t feel the need to. And with Robbie’s Barbie stemming from Gloria’s subconscious – then she too shares that same perspective. She simply doesn’t have a need for a Ken doll. So, while Ken really cares about Barbie, it makes sense why she doesn’t feel the same way.
