Netflix has become such a convenient part of the lives of anyone who watches film or television. Of course, the streaming service is far from perfect, and many subscribers have complained of audio issues with Netflix. Now a newly-surfaced video offers a solution for those viewers suffering from annoying audio problems.
Many users are actually probably aware of the issue. For some viewers, it appears that the background audio – such as music – comes off much louder than a video’s dialogue. This makes it nearly impossible to hear what the characters are saying. One user has now taken to TikTok to explain what causes this and how to fix it.
The issue happens to be that Netflix automatically assumes you have five speakers a subwoofer and plays the audio with a 5.1 channel. Now, as you can see below, TikTok user @setupspawn discusses how to switch your audio track so that the dialogue is more audible and the background audio isn’t as loud.
Here’s the video with the fix:

Many users are impressed by this information. In fact, as of this writing, it has nearly ten million views and another 250,000 saves. The comments also express just how grateful users are to now understand this little trick. It looks like there were quite a few Netflix users that were unaware of the different audio channels provided by Netflix. Hopefully this improves the experience for all users involved.
The video also explains another little-known trick. There’s a website titled Netflix-codes.com which allows users to enter specific codes to bring up specific genre categories. This user enters the code for horror anime shows as an example and it works beautifully. It goes to show just what little secrets there are to make our modern conveniences even more convenient.
