The Saw film franchise is making a comeback this October with Saw X. Now the first official trailer for Saw X has been revealed. And, with it, comes the return as Tobin Bell as the notorious Jigsaw.
Tobin Bell first appeared as Jigsaw in the 2004 film Saw. However, its various sequels fleshed out his character, turning Jigsaw into a modern-day icon that helped usher in a new era for the horror genre. Now Saw X appears to return to the character’s early days and once again deliver a thrilling story with enough twists and turns that will once again have audiences guessing.

As mentioned, Tobin Bell portrays Jigsaw, otherwise known as John Kramer. The character first appeared in Saw with a minor role, and by Saw III, the character was killed off. The remaining films used flashback sequences and new killers to continue telling his story. Now we’ll get to see how Saw X once again continues Kramer’s legacy.
Here’s synopsis for the movie:
John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the Saw franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.
Kevin Greutert, director of Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, will be directing this new installment of the franchise. He previously edited the first five Saw films as well in addition to Jigsaw.
With Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith portraying their respective characters from the franchise, the film also includes newcomers Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach.
