R.L. Stine’s iconic Goosebumps books have paved the way for numerous fan-favorite adaptations and spin-offs. Now Disney Plus is providing fans with another Goosebumps series and the first look has just been unveiled.
Disney revealed as much during 2023’s San Diego Comic-Con. The new Goosebumps series features the iconic logo albeit with a blue-colored font. The first look also includes a spooky old house, the likes of which Goosebumps fans have seen plenty of, and a cast member that’s speculated to be Michelle Mao.

Interestingly, the series is said to be different than its television predecessor. In fact, it’ll be closer to the two theatrical films, with a linear narrative revolving around the same cast of characters in each episode. So, for fans hoping for another anthology series, it looks like you’ll have to stick with the original show. But hopefully this will still feature the same tone and elements from the books that have made the Goosebumps name such a memorable brand even all these decades later.
Plot details for the new series are scarce, but it’s said “a group of five teenagers accidentally unleash supernatural forces. In working to recapture them all, they also start discovering secrets from their parent’s past.” Perhaps more details will be released soon, but it certainly sounds more like the two theatrical films.
The cast of the new Goosebumps series includes Justin Long, Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, and Rachel Harris.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Goosebumps and other such Disney Plus projects as we have them. Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we have additional glimpses of the show. After all, it’s been decades since Goosebumps was adapted for television, and fans are no doubt eager to see how the project turns out.
