The plot for Pet Sematary: Bloodlines has been described as follows:
“In 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.”
There’s a lot of potential for a prequel to the latest Pet Sematary. Fans have always been eager to know about the lore of the burial ground which even in Stephen King‘s classic book was merely teased. Hopefully this opens up plenty of new storytelling gateways for the property.
Fans will be able to stream the new film on October 6, 2023, exclusively on Paramount Plus in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Brazil. The film will then be released via Paramount Plus on October 7 for all other international markets.
