Actor Kevin Spacey has faced quite a few sexual assault allegations in recent years. Now one man has come forward in court to say that Kevin Spacey performed a sex act on him while he slept.
As shared via Deadline, the man, an aspiring actor, recounted the alleged event which is said to have occurred in Spacey’s London apartment. The man happens to be the fourth accuser giving evidence against Spacey during the actor’s ongoing trial.
He claims to have agreed to visit Spacey’s apartment because “it’s Kevin Spacey,” and that the House of Cards actor made him feel “weirdly special.” The two first met in 2008 after the man wrote to Spacey in an effort to gain a mentorship. Spacey soon responded by phone to invite him for a drink in Waterloo, South London.
It wasn’t long after that they visited Spacey’s apartment. Then, after eating pizza and smoking weed, Spacey is said to have “kind of opened up his arms and said, ‘come here.'” The man then described the following events:
“Then he started to nuzzle his head… He was just rubbing his head into my crotch. I thought ‘this is incredibly weird’. I was very nervous at this point. I was just flicking through TV channels.” Furthermore, he added, “You just don’t want to annoy someone who’s that powerful in the business you’re trying to break in to. The social sway he had was massive.”
The man fell asleep after. And, while in court, he began to cry as he called Spacey “atrocious, despicable, disgusting” and claims that he had been drugged. Because, as he puts it, going to sleep in such a situation wasn’t like him.
“Going to sleep isn’t something I would normally do – it is unusual in my behaviour just to conk out,” he begins. “I remember four to five hours later waking up – my belt was still together but my button and my zip were down and he’s just performed a [sex act] on me.”
After claiming to have said “no,” Spacey is said to have stopped. The actor then told the man to leave and not to talk about what happened. The man adds that while he knew Spacey liked “young straight” men, he didn’t know that “at that point he was a predator.” His night concluded by crying at a bus stop.
Spacey’s lawyer did try to argue that the man contacted Spacey by text several times after the alleged incident. But, as the man explains, he allegedly only did so to “get him to say something about the truth” in an effort to “record it.” And while the lawyer claimed the man never told Spacey “no,” the man said, “You can’t when you are asleep.”
He also responded to have found the lawyer’s response “the most reprehensible line of questioning” when he claimed the man questioned his own sexuality after the alleged incident. 63-year-old Kevin Spacey continues to plead not guilty to the charges against him.
