20th Century Fox was once the home of Deadpool and the other live-action X-Men film adaptations. Of course, once Disney acquired Fox, the different rights between them and Marvel Studios were no more. Now Deadpool 3 is seemingly throwing shade at 20th Century Fox in a hilarious way.
The upcoming superhero blockbuster introduces the titular character to the Multiverse. Now it looks like he’ll be confronting numerous superheroes from different Marvel adaptations, including Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Fans have long wanted to see comic-accurate versions of Deadpool and Wolverine on the screen together. Now not only will we be getting this, but the characters apparently fight it out at the ruins of 20th Century Fox.
You’ve read that correctly. A newly-leaked set photo reveals the ruins of the original 20th Century Fox logo. Truthfully, it looks like akin to the Statue of Liberty from the original Planet of the Apes, and it no doubt only scratches the surface of what’s to come.

As mentioned, the film is expected to take Deadpool through the Multiverse, and ultimately into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And, considering his tendencies to break the fourth wall, it makes sense that the character would end up at the 20th Century Fox ruins for Deadpool 3. But there’s no telling where else we’ll see him pop up next – or who will be joining him.
Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 from a screenplay written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux previously worked on the film’s screenplay.
The upcoming film stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna, in addition to returning cast members Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic and Rob Delaney. Newcomers include Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.
Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the highly-anticipated blockbuster as we have them.
