Warner Bros Discovery has finally unveiled the first official teaser trailer for The Nun 2 at this year’s CinemaCon 2023 event. Fans have been eager to see footage from the upcoming movie and this new look certainly delivers on that front.
The highly-anticipated sequel will follow the events of The Nun, which focused on a character first introduced in The Conjuring 2. The rather demonic-looking villain became a highlight of the sequel and it’s not hard to see why she was given her own spin-off. Of course, The Nun 2 looks like it’ll be taking some interesting directions with the material, once again surprising horror fans with the potential of this shared universe.

It’s definitely an exciting first look at the film. Between The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, and the additional spin-off films Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, Annabelle Comes Home, and the first Nun film, Warner Bros has quite the horror franchise on their hands.
Michael Chaves, director of The Curse of La Llorona and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, will be directing The Nun 2. The screenplay for the film was written by Akela Cooper.
Bonnie Aarons will once again play the titular nun aka Valak. Taissa Farmiga is set to reprise her role as Sister Irene from the first film. In addition, Storm Reid is also set to star.
