It’s not uncommon to see fans argue over social media. This time, however, arguments are happening over a MCU movie that was recently added to Disney Plus.
The streaming service finally has Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania available to view. Unfortunately, the divisive film has fans getting into heated arguments online. Now you can see some of the takes that have spawned as a result down below.
As many fans already know, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has received mixed reactions even during its theatrical run. In fact, the film didn’t quite do as well at the box office as many expected. And so some fans feel like the MCU film was a disappointment – while others checking it out for the first time on Disney Plus have been pleasantly surprised.
Here are some of the varying tweets regarding the film:
Okay, wait, hold on.
Quantumania is the one everyone decided was bad? Seriously? Because the movie I just watched was great. pic.twitter.com/RsTnXaAACs

I’ll watch Quantumania. I wish I saw more Janet Van Dyne and less Hope Van Dyne. pic.twitter.com/TkYpvMyoMI

if it ever happens, i really hope ant-man 4 brings the stakes down again. the heist feel of the first two movies is what made them so special, and i feel like quantumania was sorely lacking in that department

The superhero genre is wild right now. A film called “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” a collection of three nouns that would mean almost nothing in a pre-MCU Hollywood, can make close to $500 million and the response is “The industry is at a downturn.”

Black Widow: mixed reaction
Shang Chi: “The MCU is back!”
Eternals: SUPER mixed reaction
No Way Home: “The MCU is back!”
DSitMoM: solid reaction
Love & Thunder: mixed reaction
Wakanda Forever: “The MCU is back!”
Quantumania: mixed reaction
Vol. 3: “The MCU is back!”

Watched Quantumania this morning and it made me weak, it filled my bones with poison and ash
Watched the Killers of the Flower Moon trailer, my mind is clear, my heart is strong, my body hale

If we’re referring to Quantumania, I think people are more mad at the fact that Ant-man defeated the next Avengers level threat with ants, and that’s totally understandable. https://t.co/KAXU04CYu5

Rewatching Quantumania and I still love this movie. Is it the best of the MCU? No but the way y’all talk about it is just crazy to me ⚡️⚡️⚡️ pic.twitter.com/88QCLtSSAE

After a divisive theatrical opening, it seems somewhat fitting that its release on Disney Plus has also been divisive. But hopefully being available on Disney Plus will offer many potential fans the opportunity to finally check out the film.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness. The cast for the film includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors.
In addition to streaming on Disney Plus, fans can also purchase Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on physical media formats including DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Disney Plus and Marvel Cinematic Universe updates as we have them. Though it’s unlikely that arguments regarding Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will stop any time soon, if ever, it’s nice that some viewers have found something to enjoy about the film. It certainly seems safe to say that there’s a Marvel movie for everyone.
