The live-action Star Wars television projects are finally giving fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano her own Disney Plus series. The upcoming series, which will also feature live-action interpretations of several Star Wars: Rebels characters, is a long-awaited project by many. Now Disney Plus is giving fans another look at the upcoming series Ahsoka with a brand-new teaser trailer.
Of course, this isn’t the first live-action introduction for Ahsoka. The character has already appeared in several episodes of the live-action shows The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. And, much like those two projects, this new series will take place after the events of Return of the Jedi. As such, it’ll be exciting to finally catch up with Ahsoka and her friends after all this time and see what’s in store for them as their adventures draw them towards Thrawn.
Here’s the brand-new Ahsoka teaser trailer:
Naturally, the new teaser doesn’t reveal much, but it does put the plot of Ahsoka into focus. Ahsoka Tano, first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is eagerly searching for Thrawn in her efforts to find Ezra Bridger. This places her back into the lives of characters like Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla. Hopefully we’ll have more details soon, especially as the release date of the new series draws nearer. For now, however, this is an exciting glimpse at the show’s scope and just how epic the narrative will be.
The cast of the upcoming live-action Star Wars series includes Rosario Dawson as the titular Ahsoka, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Fans will be able to stream Ahsoka via Disney Plus on August 23. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Ahsoka news and other Star Wars updates as we have them.
