The Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon be expanding to include the Fantastic Four. Of course, we’ve already gotten a glimpse of this with John Krasinski’s Reed Richards variant in the Doctor Strange sequel. This time, however, Marvel has a Fantastic Four team in mind within the main MCU – and now we may know the cast.
As shared via insider @MyTimeToShineH on Twitter, they’ve revealed four potential cast members for the Fantastic Four movie. Though this should be taken with a grain of salt, at least until Marvel or Disney make an official announcement, the cast members do line up with prior reports.
Here’s what was shared regarding the potential Fantastic Four cast:

The batch of images feature Adam Driver, Margot Robbie, Paul Mescal, and Daveed Diggs. As mentioned, there have been reports circling all of these actors, some reports having been around longer than others. Adam Driver would play Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Margot Robbie would play Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, Paul Mescal would play Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Daveed Diggs would play Ben Grimm aka The Thing.
These are certainly some interesting choices. Especially when fans consider that John Krasinski played a variant of what would potentially be Adam Driver’s character. And, of course, that Margot Robbie has already been part of the DC film franchise as Harley Quinn. But as the DC franchise grows into a completely new movie continuity – it isn’t surprising that she might have room to play in a different comic book sandbox. Of course, one can hope she could return to her DC role someday as well.
Either way, we’ll have to wait until further confirmation before this cast can be considered official. But hopefully we’ll have those details soon.
Matt Shankman will direct Fantastic Four while Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer write the screenplay.
The new Fantastic Four iteration is currently scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the highly-anticipated MCU project as we have them.
