Fans were initially anxious to see how many characters from the original Deadpool films would return for Deadpool 3. After all, with the movie being tied more closely to the MCU, it was unknown how many characters Marvel Studios would want to bring over other than Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Well, it looks like almost everyone is coming back, as it’s just been revealed Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio are slated to appear in Deadpool 3.
As shared via Deadline, both Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will reprise their roles as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio in Deadpool 3, respectively. Hildebrand made her debut in the Deadpool series with the very first film as the sidekick of fellow X-Men member Colossus. Kutsuna, on the other hand, first appeared in Deadpool 2 as Negasonic’s girlfriend.
With that said, it’s unknown just how big their roles in the upcoming sequel will be. But at least we know that most cast members from the first two films will be returning for this third installment. Hopefully we’ll have more character details and plot information released soon.
In addition to Ryan Reynolds, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna, the film also features returning cast members Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic and Rob Delaney. They’ll be once again portraying Dopinder, Blind Al, Vanessa, Colossus, and Peter. Newcomers include Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. Actor Hugh Jackman will also be co-starring alongside Ryan Reynolds, once again portraying beloved character Wolverine for the new sequel. Fans have been desperate to see Wolverine and Deadpool in a film together proper – and now we’re finally getting it.
Shawn Levy is set to direct Deadpool 3 from a screenplay written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux previously worked on the film’s screenplay.
Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on the highly-anticipated blockbuster as we have them.
