Fans are ecstatic to have Winona Ryder back as Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice 2. Now the first look at Ryder on the set of the 2024 sequel has been released.
The film is currently shooting in England, with Daily Mail UK having caught various paparazzi shots of the beloved star. As fans can see below, it’s clear that Ryder has no problem getting right back into character. It’s certainly an exciting moment for fans of Beetlejuice that have been waiting so many decades for the sequel to come together.
As mentioned, it looks like Ryder has quite easily slipped back into character for this long-awaited sequel. With her iconic goth hairstyle and pointed bangs, it’s as if she never left the role. Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we see some other exciting set photos. On that note, however, we don’t have any plot details to go by. But hopefully that information comes to light in the near future. For now, it’s great seeing that production on the sequel is finally underway.

Of course, Winona Ryder is far from the only cast member returning for the sequel. The film also once again stars Michael Keaton as the titular character, with Catherine O’Hara returning as Lydia’s mother, Delia Deetz. Newcomers to the cast include Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux.
Tim Burton has returned to direct the sequel which was penned by Mike Vukadinovich. The earlier drafts of the script were penned by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg. Katzenberg and Grahame-Smith will both produce the sequel. Meanwhile, Danny Elfman will return to score the film.
Fans will finally be able to see Beetlejuice 2 in theaters on September 6, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.
