Fans were stunned to see The Walking Dead end after so many years. However, the franchise is far from done, especially as numerous spin-offs have been put into production. One such spin-off series – The Walking Dead: Dead City – now has an official trailer as shared down below.
As the name suggests, this upcoming series has a much different setting than its predecessors. Now the action will be taking place in New York City. And, as the new footage indicates, this will allow the cast and crew to do some very new things within the franchise.
The story itself revolves around Maggie and Negan as they must form an unlikely alliance. As such, there will be plenty of new twists and turns with this brand-new series. It takes place two years after the original show’s finale.

It’s definitely an exciting trailer and shows just what kind of chaos will be in store for both Negan and Maggie. After the original series lasted more than a decade, it’ll be exciting to see what they’ve cooked up with Dead City. Here’s a brief synopsis for the show:
“New walkers, new villains, New York! Maggie (Lauren Cohan) forms a lethal alliance with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to rescue her kidnapped son. Together they will try to navigate the mean streets of NYC. If they can survive #DeadCity, they can survive anywhere.”
The series is set to premiere on June 18 at 10 PM ET on AMC and AMC Plus. The following episodes will then be released on Sundays at 9 PM ET.
