Warner Bros has finally released the official trailer for Meg 2: The Trench. The new film follows the 2018 horror blockbuster which first brought author Steve Alten’s series of Megalodon novels to life. Now fans can see the threat taken to the next level in the upcoming sequel.
The newly-released footage promises more than a few Megalodon sharks on the loose in addition to other aquatic monsters. It’s clear that star Jason Statham will have his work cut out for him this time around. But if the trailer is anything to go by, then his character Jonas Taylor is more than ready.
As mentioned, it looks like the new film will be upping the ante in some genuinely exciting ways. Of course, that’s not too surprising, especially given the success of the first film at the box office. The Meg managed to earn as much as $500 million at the worldwide box office. So it’s clear that Warner Bros is ready to go bigger and better with the sequel. So here’s hoping that it delivers.
