Judy Greer made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the 2015 film Ant-Man. She returned for the first sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, in 2018. Though she hasn’t been seen in the franchise since. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 brought back Ant-Man star Judy Greer in a surprising way.
Judy Greer last appeared in the MCU as her character Maggie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Some fans hoped she would return in this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but this was not the case. Now Ant-Man star Judy Greer is back as an all-new character for the Guardians of the Galaxy threequel: War Pig.
War Pig happens to be one of the High Evolutionary’s henchmen in the new Guardians film. The High Evolutionary creates a wide variety of genetic experiments throughout the film. Naturally, War Pig is just one such example of his work. Of course, it also means that there’s room for plenty of other cameos planned by James Gunn that will likely be revealed soon.
For now, though, it’s nice to see that Judy Greer returned to the MCU. Even if it’s in a way that no one expected. Of course, one can only hope that her Maggie Lang character will make a comeback sooner or later too. Especially now that the franchise is set to revolve more around Cassie Lang. And who knows? Maybe there’ll be room for a reappearance of War Pig as well.
Original Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn returned to direct this third installment.
The cast for the film features returning stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and the voice talents of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Will Poulter is joining the cast as Adam Warlock.
The highly-anticipated sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently playing in theaters. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on any upcoming MCU projects as we have them.
