Director Denis Villeneuve set out to adapt Frank Herbert’s iconic novel Dune with two films. Now the second entry, titled Dune: Part Two, is on the way – and the first official trailer has dropped.
The footage reveals a return from numerous characters introduced in the first film. And, naturally, quite a few newcomers as well. Though it’s clear that this film isn’t so much a sequel as it is the second half of the first film’s story. Now fans can see the next part of Frank Herbert’s iconic story faithfully adapted for the big screen.

Of course, we’ll likely have much more footage from the film in the coming months. The movie won’t be hitting theaters until November. For now, however, this is a great glimpse and it’s clear that the film will match its predecessor in terms of both style and quality.

Denis Villeneuve directed Dune: Part Two following his work on the first film. He co-wrote the film with Jon Spaihts based on the novel by Frank Herbert.
The ensemble cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
