The official trailer for the upcoming video game film adaptation Gran Turismo has been released online. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the film’s release, especially since the first look was released earlier this year in January.
Now, as you can see below, the cast which includes Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, and Orlando Bloom is on full display. It’s an exciting moment for fans of the hit video game franchise. Especially getting to see such talented cast members attached to bring this beloved franchise to life in live-action.

“Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.”
It’s certainly a change in pace for director Neill Blomkamp. His works generally include elements of the science-fiction genre, with Blomkamp having become known for such films as District 9 and Elysium. This time, however, he’s certainly proving himself as a talent sports racing director as well.
The PlayStation video game franchise on which this film is based first began in 1997. It quickly became one of the biggest racing games at the time with an emphasis on realism and real-world elements including actual licensed vehicles. Now with 14 entries having been released since then, it’s time to see Gran Turismo on the big screen.
The upcoming film Gran Turismo was directed by Neill Blomkamp. The screenplay for the film was penned by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. Gran Turismo was produced by Kazunori Yamauchi, Herman Hulst, Jason Hall, and Matthew Hirsch.
The cast for the film includes David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Archie Madekwe, Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner, and Djimon Hounsou.
