The Saw franchise is headed back to its roots for the next installment. The new film will feature the return of both Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith. And now fans can see the official logo for the film, titled Saw X, down below.
As shared via Collider, the official logo was first shared at CinemaCon 2023. The title card brings back the franchise’s numbering scheme, noting that this is the tenth official Saw installment, and also recreates the aesthetic of the earlier films. It’s clear that Lionsgate wants this film to feel like its earlier predecessors rather than some of the more recent outings.

Here’s the logline for the film:
“The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”
Hopefully we’ll have more details soon and our first look at the footage from the film. For now, though, this is certainly an exciting tease. Especially for longtime fans of the film franchise that have not only been eager for something like the earlier films – but for the return of Tobin Bell as Jigsaw.
Kevin Greutert, director of Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, will be directing this new installment of the franchise. He previously edited the first five Saw films as well in addition to Jigsaw.
With Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith portraying their respective characters from the franchise, the film also includes newcomers Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach.
This next installment in the Saw film franchise, Saw X, is currently scheduled to be released this year on October 27, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional Saw updates as we have them.
