Jonathan Majors has been dropped by his talent manager, Entertainment 360, and PR firm, The Lede Company, according to a new report.
The report, from Deadline, states that the actor was dropped due to issues surrounding the actor’s personal behavior.
The decision to drop Jonathan Majors likely has to do with the domestic violence charges that the actor is facing from an incident that happened in March. Majors was accused of assaulting a 30-year-old woman, who was taken to the hospital and said to have injuries to her head and neck.
Despite the allegations, Jonathan Majors has maintained his innocence and his criminal defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has claimed he will have his name cleared. Chaudhry released the following statement back in March:
“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”
He has also said that there is evidence to prove Majors’ innocence.
Interestingly, a part of this report seems to shoot down a recent rumor that Marvel Studios was looking at replacing Majors as Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The report states:
Majors has already shot the second season of Marvel/Disney+’s Loki, in which he reprises his uber-villain role of Kang the Conqueror, and won’t go before the cameras in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty for quite some time. Deadline hears there’s been zero conversations in the Marvel camp to drop Majors from the MCU.
It was recently rumored that Marvel Studios has been discussing options for replacing the actor, with one recent story even suggesting that the studio had an idea of what they were looking for in a potential replacement for Kang.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens in this situation with Jonathan Majors. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.
