Fans are glad to see that Deadpool 3 is finally getting off the ground. It seemed like forever waiting for the dust to settle with Disney’s Fox acquisition. But now they’re ready to introduce Deadpool to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Deadpool 3.
And, excitingly enough, it looks like two other familiar faces are returning for Deadpool 3.
As shared via Empire, both Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic are set to return for Deadpool 3. Fans will recall that Baccarin played Vanessa, the love interest of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool character, and Kapicic played none other than X-Men member Colossus.
The two have played integral roles throughout the first two films of the soon-to-be trilogy. As such, it’s great to know they’ll be back for this new entry. It was previously unclear just how far Deadpool 3 would be straying from its predecessors under Disney. But, if this is any indication, the film is shaping up to be a true successor. Hopefully we’ll have some additional details soon. For now, though, everything seems to be falling into place quite nicely.
Shawn Levy is set to direct Deadpool 3 from a screenplay written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux previously worked on the film’s screenplay.
The other cast members of Deadpool 3 so far include Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Emma Corrin as the film’s villain. Matthew Macfayden is also joining the film’s cast. Likewise, Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams have been announced to return.
Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 8, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on the highly-anticipated blockbuster as we have them. Now that the cast is shaping up – let’s hope it isn’t too long before some story details come to the surface. Especially given how anxious we all are to see how Deadpool crosses into the MCU.
