Matt Reeves’ hit film The Batman sparked an all-new universe surrounding the titular character. As such, classic villains were reimagined for the film, including The Penguin. Now a new series based on Colin Farrell’s take on Penguin is in production, as you can see in the teaser below.
The teaser trailer for The Penguin was released as part of a series of announcements made by Warner Bros Discovery. Their streaming service, HBO Max, is being rebranded as Max. As such, they have an exciting number of shows to offer subscribers, and The Penguin is only one such project in the works.

Hopefully we’ll have more details for this series soon. Especially with as great as this first teaser trailer turned out to be. The storyline started in The Batman should make for a great world to explore with The Penguin, and as such, DC fans are eager to see what’s in store.
The series is expected to run for eight episodes. Lauren LeFranc is the executive producer and showrunner with Matt Reeves executive producing via 6th & Idaho. Executive producer Craig Zobel will direct the first three episodes. Farrell, Dylan Clark, Daniel Pipski, and Bill Carraro also serve as executive producers. Ravi Crohn will co-executive produce with Warner Bros. Television being the studio behind the project.
In addition to Colin Farrell, the cast includes Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, and Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni. The cast also includes Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau and David H. Holmes.
