The John Wick film franchise is expanding to include a number of upcoming spin-offs. This includes the highly-anticipated Peacock Original Series The Continental: From the World of John Wick. The new series will follow a young Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell, as he takes over the titular hotel. It’s all foreshadowed in the teaser trailer for The Continental featured below.
Fans of the John Wick franchise have always been eager to know more about the world’s mythology. As such, this three-part prequel series seems like an exciting way to do so. There are many questions about Winston and his history with The Continental. Now, as the new teaser trailer indicates, we should finally have some answers.

As for the basis of the prequel show’s plot:
“The three-part event series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell) as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind.
“Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.”
The cast of the new series, which features Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward as writers and showrunners, includes the following actors: Colin Woodell as Winston Scott, Ayomide Adegun as a young Charon, Peter Greene as Uncle Charlie, Mel Gibson as Cormac, Ben Robson as Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles, Jessica Allain as Lou, Mishel Prada as KD, and Nhung Kate as Yen. Actor Keanu Reeves, known for his titular role in the John Wick films, will not appear in the series.
Fans will be able to stream The Continental: From the World of John Wick via Peacock in September 2023.
