Fans of all kinds love an opportunity to cosplay as their favorite characters and stars. This is no exception for WWE fans. Unfortunately, one fan was removed from WrestleMania 39 for his “Big Boss Man” cosplay.
Those familiar with Big Boss Man will know his iconic uniform. And for fan Kevin Hunsperger, he went to great lengths to recreate it. This includes having a Georgia sheriff’s department patch on his sleeve. For one security guard, however, that just wasn’t appropriate for the event.
According to Hunsperger, while he attended the first day just fine, a security guard asked him to leave on the second day. The guard insisted that he was allegedly impersonating a cop due to his cosplay. As such, Hunsperger removed the patch, but it wasn’t enough for the guard. He finally complied and left the venue despite several other fans that agreed he was only recreating Big Boss Man’s outfit.
With that said, Hunsperger returned to the event, and still managed to show his support for his WWE hero. He chose to wear a Big Boss Man t-shirt as an alternative to his accurate, albeit too accurate, apparently, cosplay. As you can see in his explanation below:
“Not only was @americannightmarecody screwed by the Bloodline tonight,” he begins, “I was screwed by a security guard at @sofistadium.
“He made me leave and change out of the same Big Bossman COSTUME I wore yesterday to WrestleMania because I was impersonating a law officer.”

On the bright side, one must compliment his Big Boss Man cosplay for being so realistic. It’s just a shame he had to be removed from WrestleMania 39 as a result. And on his second day, no less. Hunsperger adds that his friend cosplayed as The Mountie – though no one asked them to leave. It looks like some impersonations are more acceptable than others with this particular security guard.
