It’s taken a long time for the Five Nights at Freddy’s film adaptation to get off the ground. Now that production is finally underway – the first look at the film has been revealed. In addition to the first look, producer Jason Blum has announced the release date as well – and it looks like fans will get their chance to see the movie as soon as this year!
The exciting release date news was revealed by Jason Blum on Twitter. Additionally, it’s been revealed via Deadline that Five Nights at Freddy’s will also premiere day & date with theaters and the Peacock streaming service. Thus fans will be able to check out the film however they want on October 27th.

Hopefully we’ll have more details on the film soon with this news. For now, though, fans should begin marking their calendars. It looks like this October will be a great time for those spooky season enthusiasts.
Emma Tammi is directing Five Night’s at Freddy’s. The screenplay for the film was written by video game creator Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback. Blumhouse will produce the film in association with Striker Entertainment. Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum are attached as producers while Russell Binder will executive produce.
The film stars Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Matthew Lillard.
