In a move that is set to shake up the film industry and change Marvel forever, Marvel Studios has delayed each movie remaining in the MCU’s Phase 5 – to complete a Morbius trilogy. While many fans will understandably be left scratching their heads at such a move, Kevin Feige’s newly revealed plan will clear up any of those doubts.
Head of Marvel, Kevin Feige, released the following statement:
“We felt that we had a historic opportunity to finish something great and give everyone what they truly want, which is a Morbius trilogy. The first film will easily go down as one of the best films ever made and it would be silly not to capitalize on that.”
Feige says a trilogy is just the start:
“A trilogy of films is just the initial plan. Morbius will be what ties these next few films together. The character is an integral piece of what the MCU will be moving forward.”
Kevin Feige also added:
“It’s Morbin’ time.”
Sony’s Amy Pascal commented on the historic deal, saying:
“If it makes money, we’re in.”
That is a very likely scenario – as early projections have Morbius 2 projected to make trillions of dollars. Theaters are already very nervous at the idea of not having enough seats to fill for such an enormous turn out. It will most likely shatter the box office records that Avengers: Endgame set back in 2019.
As Morbius is set to be the centerpiece of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward, it’s been said that Jared Leto has already signed a 10 picture deal for 700 billion dollars and that he and the studio are prepared to win multiple Oscars for the upcoming set of films. It has also been said none of this is actually happening and it is nothing more than an April Fool’s Joke.
